How to Read QC Photos: A 7-Point Check Before You Ship
QC (quality check) photos are taken by the agent''s warehouse when your item arrives. They''re your one chance to catch a defect before you pay international shipping. Here''s how to actually read them.
The 7-point check
- Logos & text — spelling, font, spacing and placement. Wonky logos are the #1 giveaway of a bad batch.
- Stitching — straight, even, no loose threads or skipped stitches.
- Colour — compare to reference pictures. Screens vary, but obvious mismatches are a reject.
- Shape & proportions — silhouette should match retail. Off shapes (toe box, panels) mean a weak batch.
- Materials — leather vs pleather, suede nap, hardware weight. Cheap materials show in photos.
- Tags, insoles & accessories — sizing tags, box, dust bag, extra laces. Missing or wrong accessories = flag it.
- Overall condition — glue stains, scuffs, dirt, asymmetry between left/right.
If something''s wrong
Most agents let you request a refund or a re-purchase before you ship. Don''t green-light a parcel you''re unsure about — it''s much cheaper to reject now than to receive a dud.
